Badou Jack Promotions and Events’ first event will have YouTube sensation and amateur boxer KSI and two-time world boxing champion Amir Khan in attendance.
Former world boxing champion Badou Jack has launched a UAE-based events company.
Badou Jack Promotions and Events will mark its debut on Friday May 3 next, with a boxing and mixed martial arts event at Five Palm Jumeriah in Dubai.
In partnership with ITP Live, the main event will feature undefeated Cruiserweight boxer Viddal Riley (who previously fought on the Manny Pacquiao vs. Adrien Broner undercard in Las Vegas) against Dubai-based Iranian boxer Mohammad Ali Bayat.
Riley is also the head trainer of celebrity YouTube sensation and amateur boxer KSI, who will be in attendance at the event, along with two-time world boxing champion Amir Khan.
The fight will be streamed in over 175 countries worldwide via Fite.TV and will be attended by international celebrities and VIPs.
“I am looking forward to bringing a lot of excitement to Dubai with some very entertaining combat sports events,” Jack said, who will also be in attendance.
“This is a great opportunity to take the next step in my career with this promotional company. We’re looking to build something with the fighters and the fans that will become part of the fabric of the entertainment culture in this region.”
First of its kind
The hybrid event, featuring international world class kickboxers and boxers is the first of its kind in the region.
“Our goal is to provide some of the most entertaining combat sports events and build the popularity in the region,” said Amer Abdallah, CEO of Badou Jack Promotions. “Dubai is certainly ready for it.”
Jack’s promotion and events company is another aspect of his burgeoning enterprise.
“Badou is very popular in the Middle Eastern region,” Abdallah said. “He has a tremendous business mind and is eager to put on some great events in Dubai.
“We have tremendous support from the Dubai market and our investor group, with some exciting events planned.”
Tickets will be available online for purchase at knockout.ae. Fans can also stream the fight online at Fite.TV.
